The F-Words I Live By (And Why They Matter)

Because some things are worth giving an F about.

There’s a saying we’ve all heard a hundred times:

“I don’t give an F.”

But me? I do.
I give about seven of them. On a good day.

More if the coffee’s hot and I’ve already prayed in the shower.

The truth is, I’ve lived long enough to know what matters — and it isn’t the noise. It’s not the hustle. It’s not even the highlight reel of getting it all right.

It’s the sacred stuff. The slow stuff. The stories, the people, the things we carry with us and pass down.

That’s where my F-words come in.

They’re more than clever categories. They’re the way I live, the way I love, the way I write. They show up in my kitchen, in my parenting, in my heartbreak, in my playlists, and in my prayers.

I wrote them all down — the ones I do give.

Not the ones I’m supposed to care about, but the ones that have actually carried me.

🖤 You can read them all here → The F’s I Give

You’ll find:

  • Faith that whispers, not shouts.
  • Food that feeds more than hunger.
  • Family in every shape it comes.
  • Feeling that doesn’t apologize for tenderness.
  • Fire that burns off the fake and lights the way home.
  • Friendship that shows up with pie and honesty.
  • Fun that’s as sacred as stillness.

It’s not a list. It’s a way of being.
It’s how I show up — in the world, on the page, in the mess, in the beauty.

And if you’ve ever felt like maybe you do give a few of your own… you just might be in the right place.

May your faith stay soft.
May your fire stay lit.
May your friends stay close, and your fun never run dry.
These are the F’s I give — and maybe, just maybe, they’ll give you something too.

These words were just the beginning.
